Hardware Support

Registering for our Hardware Support service includes:

  • Warranty Processing (includes filing claim with manufacturer, shipping, and receiving)
  • Labor support for hardware troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs
  • Labor for obtaining out-of-warranty component replacement of failed hardware and repairing the device (cost of hardware not covered)
  • Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) for use if there is ever a power-loss event (not available for GPU machines;  UPS for a cluster is provided by the cluster owner)
  • We can service laptop batteries that no longer work, are swollen, or physically damaged. Laptop batteries generally carry a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty regardless of the laptop warranty itself. We do not cover the cost of a laptop battery not under warranty.
    • Battery replacement due to normal wear and tear is not covered, but should a battery experience an early failure, its replacement will be covered if the machine is under warranty.
