Due to security reasons, Unified Communications is placing a restriction on Jabber clients older than version 14.1.0.
PLATFORMS AFFECTED:
CMU Cisco Jabber
CRITICAL IMPACT:
The Unified Communications team will be implementing the Jabber Minimum version restriction on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at 7:30 AM. As such, any user utilizing an older version than 14.1.0 on Windows/Mac will be unable to connect to Jabber for phone or messaging services.
If you do not update, once the restriction is in place on August 16, 2022, you will receive the following error message:
"Cannot communicate with the server. Reset Cisco Jabber to continue (File->Reset Cisco Jabber)"
