Details:
On Wednesday, May 13 and Thursday, May 14, we will perform a software upgrade for all top-of-rack network switches in the Gates Data Center to repair ports that were rendered inoperable during a previous power surge.
What to Expect
- Work will occur as a rolling, rack‑by‑rack process throughout the maintenance window.
- Each rack will experience a network outage of up to 30 minutes.
- All servers in the Gates Data Center will lose network connectivity at some point, but only during the brief period when their rack’s switch is being upgraded.
What You Should Do
- No action is required prior to the maintenance window and systems do not need to be shut down.
- After the maintenance window has ended, please validate that your servers are accessible and functioning as expected.
- If your server remains unreachable for more than 30 minutes, please contact us for assistance.
