macOS Monterey - SCS Computing Supported Applications

Please note: There are some applications that will not work with Monterey.

If an application or service you use is not on this list, check with the application vendor to see if it is compatible with this version of the operating system.

The release of the previous macOS (Catalina) completed a transition to exclusively-64-bit software that Apple had been carrying out since the introduction of macOS High Sierra in 2017. Catalina dropped all support for 32-bit applications. Mozilla Firefox Supported Version 94.0 or later is supported.
Google Chrome Supported
Gmail Works With Exceptions Waiting for main campus to vet, but appears to work normally with Safari.
Google Drive for Desktop Works With Exceptions No official support yet from Google as of November 15, 2021. However, application does seem to function normally during testing on Monterey version 12.0.1.
G Suite Apps Supported Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms basic functionality confirmed working with Safari 15.1 in Monterey 12.0.1.
Microsoft Office 365 Supported Basic functionality of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook tested successfully with Monterey 12.0.1.
Adobe Acrobat DC Supported Adobe lists support for Acrobat for macOS Monterey. Internal testing previously done successfully on later macOS Monterey betas.
CMU Box Supported Version 2.24 and later has Monterey support.
Cisco Jabber Supported Tested successfully with incoming and outgoing calls on Monterey 12.0.1. Not yet vetted by campus. *Not compatible with ESET Endpoint Security for making outgoing calls on Big Sur and later.
Zoom Supported Tested on Monterey 12.0.1 successfully
Workday Works With Exceptions Waiting for main campus to vet, but appears to work normally with Safari.
