Lenovo Hardware Support Returns to SCS

SCS Computing Facilities now offers on-site Lenovo support, making hardware repairs easier and more convenient for the community.

Thanks to feedback from the SCS community, we’re once again a Lenovo Warranty Self-Maintainer (WSM). This means that you can now receive on-site hardware support and repairs for Lenovo machines, with the same level of service we provide for Dell and Apple.

How We Can Support You

Our hardware support service is designed to minimize downtime and keep your hardware running smoothly, including:

  • Warranty processing (filing claims with the manufacturer, shipping, and receiving).
  • Hardware troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair.
  • Labor for out-of-warranty component replacement (hardware costs not covered).
  • UPS backup in case of power-loss events (for non-GPU machines).
  • Laptop battery service.
