Resource Scheduler: Pop-Up Blockers Affecting Reservation Wizard

RS users may not see important reservation guidance.

This event is: Resolved

Day/Date:  Wednesday, April 27, 2022

Time: Ongoing

Service Affected: SCS Room Reservation System (Resource Scheduler) Reservation Wizard

Details: We have identified an issue with different web browser pop-up blockers affecting users attempting to complete a Resource Scheduler room reservation using the RS Reservation Wizard. The pop-up blocker may erroneously block important Resource Scheduler informational pop-ups, such as the ones advising fields with required information in the Reservation Wizard. Not completing the request form accurately (including addressing what is called out in these blocked pop-ups) will lead to failed reservations or reservations that are automatically deleted by the system.

There are many different pop-up blockers, many of them built-in to each browser, but there are also popular 3rd party pop-up blockers. Here are some basic steps, as well as additional resources for the most common scenarios:

  1. Select Safari > Preferences, then select Websites
  2. Select Pop-up Windows
  3. Use the When visiting other websites drop-down menu and select Allow to disable the pop-up blocker
