SCS Wean Hall Machine Room - Power Outage
DAY/DATES: Wednesday, September 6, 2023 4:30 AM to 8:00 AM (Estimated)
SERVICES AFFECTED: Cluster computer nodes in the Wean Hall machine room will be shut down for temperature mitigation.
DETAILS: On Wednesday, September 6, 2023, the WEAN Hall machine room (MR-A) will be affected by a 2+ hour (estimated) power outage due to an issue with a transformer. This will impact our chilled water cooling systems. As a result, our team will be proactively load-shedding during the outage. We plan to power down cluster compute nodes at 4:30am. We estimate power restored by 8:00 am. Once power is restored and our cooling systems are back to normal operation, we will power on all of the impacted compute nodes.
